Manowar - Battle Hymns

Kreeg na het lezen van het interview met Ross the Boss in Aardschok opeens erg veel zin om dit weer 's te luisteren. Dus in m'n vinylverzameling gedoken en 'm opgeduikeld.
Hoe dubieus het imago van Manowar altijd ook is geweest, Battle Hymns en Into Glory Ride blijven meesterwerkjes.
En 't is de enige band die me letterlijk pijn heeft gedaan tijdens een optreden. Ze speelden ergens in '86 of '87 in Noorderligt Tilburg zo hard dat de bastonen je ribbenkast lieten trillen. Zo hard staat-ie nu gelukkig niet
