Now it’s here, time warping and groovy in a decidedly old school way while still sounding fresh, in the same way as the evergreens of Pentagram, Witchfinder General, Saint Vitus, Zeppelin and Hendrix sound fresh, even to this day. The eight songs on BURNING SAVIOURS self titled debut have a groovy folk-vibe to them and an earthiness that few bands in today’s scene are able to match. As the band themselves put it: ”there’s a lot of forest in our music”, whatever this might mean...
The voice of Andrei Amartinesei is crucial to the bands quest for THE sound as well. Andrei come across as a perfect mixture between Bobby Liebling of Pentagram and Zeeb Parkes (Witchfinder General), though still retaining an edge of his own.
